Being a YCF Trustee is a great opportunity to be at the heart of one of the most passionate and diverse cricketing communities in the world. Led by our Chair, the YCF Board of Trustees defines the tone, strategic direction, governance culture and public presence of the Foundation.

About Board Trustee (Yorkshire Cricket Foundation)
Key Responsibilities of Trustees
• Provide oversight to ensure the Foundation delivers its charitable mission effectively.
• Ensure high standards of governance, integrity and accountability.
• Support and challenge the executive team, acting as a critical friend to the executive.
• Act as visible and trusted ambassadors for the Foundation across Yorkshire and within the wider cricketing and charitable landscape.
• Champion diversity, equity and inclusion in governance, decision-making and delivery.
• Guide the Foundation through its early years, helping to build credibility, clarity of purpose and sustainable impact.
Person Specification
Essential Experience and Attributes:
• Close affinity with Yorkshire, whether personal, professional or cultural.
• Strong interest in cricket and belief in the power of sport to create positive social change.
• Experience of serving a charity, not-for-profit or community organisation in a leadership or governance role.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build trust and credibility with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and to building an open, welcoming organisation.
Desirable Experience:
• Currently active within recreational cricket in Yorkshire as a player, official or administrator.
• Expertise, in a personal or professional capacity, of charitable fundraising.
Role Details
This is an unremunerated, voluntary, non-executive position based in Yorkshire. The Board of Trustees meet on average every quarter, usually in person at Headingley.
We also welcome applications from individuals who have not previously served as a Trustee and are looking to make their first contribution at Board level.
