We're offering an exciting opportunity for someone to become a Peer Advocate – a role designed for a person who is passionate about supporting others, building trust, and championing equal access to opportunities for all. We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with people, especially disabled individuals, and who can offer meaningful listening, encouragement and guidance to help increase participation in physical activity.
As a Peer Advocate, you will play an important role in understanding the needs, strengths, and lived experiences of the local community. You'll help identify the barriers people face and work collaboratively with community members and partners to create more accessible and inclusive opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident in building relationships, communicating clearly, and offering proactive support. You'll be a key connector, bringing together people, partners and resources to help individuals feel included, motivated, and able to take part in physical activity in a way that works for them.
Applicants must have lived experience of being disabled, having a physical or mental health condition, or being neurodivergent, and be someone who uses their lived experience to support others with similar experiences to access and thrive in sport and physical activity.
