This Group is for businesses and their staff based in Thanet & Deal only.

Your Leisure invite you to take part in their Active Workplace Team Challenge throughout September & October (see challenge listed below).

The Active Workplace Team Challenge is all about reconnecting with your colleagues and keeping active. Whether it's a walk to/from work, an exercise class at your local gym, a lunchtime run, a bike ride at the weekend, a swim in your local pool, a spot of gardening or even housework - all types of activity will count towards this team activity challenge.

In the spirit of healthy competition, there will be a leaderboard for the most Active Workplace across Thanet and Deal (an average total will be taken so smaller workplaces are not penalised), and teams can be made up of 3-200 people.

There will also be a Challenge collective goal so every Workplace Team will also be helping to reach the overall challenge target of 250,000 activity points logged in September and October. All activities will contribute to this combined goal.

To get involved with this Challenge just follow the simple steps below:

• Click on the Challenge link below
• Click 'Join a Team' (the Team Captain or the first person to sign up from your organisation must 'Add the Team' & create the team name ie. Workplace Name)
• Invite your colleagues/other staff members to join your Workplace Team by sending them the Challenge link – they will then need to click on 'join a team' to find their workplace team.

To register your own activities:

• Click 'Log Activity' when you have completed your daily activity. The activity points will appear on your activity tracker dashboard and count towards your team's total points.

OR

• If you use one of the following wearable Apps: Strava, Fitbit or Googlefit you can sync your tracker account to one of these Apps by clicking on the Activity Tracker dashboard next to your name and clicking on the watch icon on the blue bar at the top of the page. Follow instructions to sync your app. Your activity points will then automatically appear on your activity tracker dashboard and count towards your team's total points.

Prizes will be awarded by Your Leisure for the following category at the end of the 8 weeks:

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Teams with the highest average activity points

There will also be a prize draw at 4 weeks and at 8 weeks so everyone is in with a chance of being rewarded for their efforts.
