The Everyday Active Summer Challenge runs for 4 weeks from 1 - 30 June 2025 and it's all about swapping motorised transport for two legs, two wheels or four wheels, if you're a wheelchair or scooter user. If you walk, run, cycle or use a wheelchair, instead of using motorised transport for all or part of your journey, for functional reasons such as, travelling to work, to the local shops or to a leisure activity, it can be logged as Active Travel on your activity tracker dashboard.

Making active travel choices is an easy way to fit activity into your day and can help reduce the risk of obesity and many chronic diseases, improve mental health and your overall well-being. There are so many benefits of Active Travel, we hope you'll join us for this new Challenge. All participants will be entered into the end of Challenge Prize Draw so everyone is in with a chance of being rewarded for their efforts. Good Luck!

To take part, all you have to do is sign up to Kent's free Activity Tracker and start logging your everyday activities and active travel from 1 June - 30 June 2025.

As an added incentive and to keep up the momentum from May's national walking month, there is an overall Challenge Target of 40 MILLION steps in June. Every activity you log and every point you earn, will go towards this overall target so we're all in this together.

To register your own activities:

  • Click 'Log Activity' when you have completed your daily activity. Your activity points and steps, plus any C02 saved through active travel means, will automatically appear on your activity tracker dashboard and the Challenge leaderboard.

Or

  • If you use one of the following wearable Apps: Strava, Fitbit or Googlefit you can sync your tracker account to one of these Apps by clicking on the Activity Tracker dashboard next to your name and clicking on the watch icon on the blue bar at the top of the page. Follow instructions to sync your app. Your activity points and steps, will automatically appear on your activity tracker dashboard and the Challenge leaderboard.

PLEASE NOTE, if you walk/run/cycle for active travel purposes then you will need to go onto your Activity Tracker dashboard, edit the relevant activity and tick YES to active travel for that activity. The C02 you save by travelling actively will then appear on the challenge leaderboard alongside your name.

Please note, this challenge finishes at 23:59 on 30 June 2025. Activities must be added before midnight on the last day of the challenge for it to count. Points will continue to appear on your activity tracker page after this date but won't be counted in the challenge.
