Delivered by Karen Shaw, leading Mental Health Consultant to Mind, this session will explore how you can support yourself, and others struggling with mental health.

If you deliver physical activity sessions, you're not expected to be a mental health expert. But you have a duty of care to support the people in your sessions. And often, small, everyday actions can make a big difference.

This session, Spot. Support. Signpost aims to help anyone, from volunteers to senior leaders, to:

  • Spot the signs someone may be struggling
  • Support them, if you feel able to
  • Signpost them to help and services

This session is available to anyone involved in sport and physical activity, please feel free to share this with colleagues, parents, carers and other adults who may be interested.

This session is part of a webinar series, organised by the Sport Welfare Officers of the East Region (Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough) Active Partnerships. Dates of the remaining webinars will be shared at the end of this session.

To also be kept up to date with future events and training, please let us know via the registration form.
