About Petanque England
Petanque is played with hollow steel balls known as boules, and a small wooden target ball or jack. The game can be played as Singles, Doubles or Triples by all ages; it is accessible to people with disabilities and is open to users of wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
Petanque England is the National Governing Body for the sport in England and is officially recognised by Sport England.
We are members of the World governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP) and the European governing body, the Confédération Européenne de Pétanque (CEP), we are also members of the Sport + Recreation Alliance.
Our structure of 17 regions means there will be a club near you. We always welcome new players and we would love to introduce you to our sport.
