About Gravesend Rowing Club

Gravesend RC is a friendly but competitive club open to rowers of all abilities and none, aged 13+. Whether you are looking to learn to row, race competitively, or simply have fun on the river we have a section for you alongside our lively social calendar

Gravesend RC was founded in 1878, and has rowed on the Thames ever since. We row both fine racing boats, as seen in the Olympics, and coastal boats. We cater for all ages from 13 up, with competitive and recreational rowers among our members. We also have a varied social calendar and take part in races and events around the country. If you wish to learn to row or are looking for a new club to train with, we are a friendly and fun club, and look forward to meeting you!
