About Cobham Bowls Club

An outdoor bowls club situated near Gravesend in Kent. About to develop an all weather rink with floodlights!

Cobham Bowls Club was founded in 1921 and is one of the oldest bowls clubs in Kent. We are affiliated to Bowls England, Kent County Bowling Association and Kent County Women's Bowling Association as well as Gravesend and District, Medway and District and RACS Bowling Associations. Our Patron is the Right Honourable Earl of Darnley. We are a fully mixed Club with approaching 100 gentlemen and lady members whose ages range from teens to those in their 90s. We are an active, thriving and competitive club, with both men and ladies enjoying current and recent successes at District and County levels. We continually strive to maintain our reputation by the sporting acceptance of results and decisions and to promote courtesy and friendliness among our members.

Our Club season is between April and September each year. The Club is extremely competitive and although it has a healthy membership approaching 100, it is always keen to invite new members to apply who would like to take up the challenge of playing bowls at either Club, County or National level.
