About Active Through Football Co-ordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic project co-ordinator to help deliver the 'Active Through Football' programme. Employed by Frickley Athletic Community Foundation and working with a consortium of different organisations and delivery partners, this is a unique opportunity to play a role in increasing participation in football related activities in the South East of Wakefield district.

As part of the Frickley Athletic Community Foundation Team (and working on behalf of the whole project team), you will work with the Active Through Football Project Manager at Wakefield Council and the other organisations delivering the project. Your main role will be to make sure the project engages local residents and meets the needs of the people the project aims to reach.

You will be delivering the project's community engagement and be involved in developing relationships with local organisations and facilities to enable successful project delivery. You will also be involved in helping set up new activities and supporting delivery, linking volunteers with appropriate opportunities and assisting them to access training.

Experience of community engagement, community development and working with a range of local community organisations is essential to this role along with an understanding of the barriers people face to being physically active. A knowledge of the local area in the south east of Wakefield district is also helpful to this role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build relationships with different audiences and stakeholders.

Frickley Athletic Community Foundation is wholly committed to ensuring children and vulnerable adults are fully supported and safe. We are dedicated to the safeguarding of all children and vulnerable adults whilst promoting their welfare. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this responsibility.

This post is a part time role at 25 hours per week and has funding from the Football Foundation for 5 years, fixed term contract. This post is also subject to a 6-month probationary period. Driver's license and car is essential.

To apply please send a CV and covering letter explaining how you meet the essential criteria for the post to john@frickleyathletic.co.uk
