This is an information session about Kooth. Kooth is a free online counselling and emotional well-being support service for young people aged 10-25. It is a safe, secure and anonymous means of accessing support with their emotional health and wellbeing needs from a professional team of qualified counsellors. There are no waiting lists and its a self referring service.

First Aid Essentials, produced with West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, aims to give the confidence needed to react in an incident when someone urgently needs help. Although this isn't sport specific it should give you basic First Aid provision.

This virtual Time to Listen workshop for Club Welfare Officers (CWO) will be delivered via Zoom over 3.5 hours and at the end of the course participants will be able to:
1. Identify what a club welfare officer does
2. Describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment
3. Explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment.
4. Apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice

This workshop is a great starting point and we hope it helps clubs to take away actions that will help them to become more welcoming, friendly, accessible and inclusive which will benefit everyone. This approach not only helps groups of people who find it hard to engage with sports clubs, but also helps clubs generally to attract and retain more participants and volunteers.

Connect Mental Health are offering Mental Health First Aid Courses at a heavily discounted rate (due to extended funding) that are accredited through MHFA England. Courses are available both online and face to face (when restrictions allow) and range from £35pp for the MH Aware course to £85pp for the full MHFAider Adults course.
