About Kent Sport

The Kent Sport and Physical Activity Service (Kent Sport) aims to boost participation in sport and physical activity, in order to improve the health and wellbeing of Kent residents.

Kent Sport is an integrated team of Kent County Council and Sport England funded staff working together as the Active Partnership for Kent & Medway. We are part of a nationwide network of 43 Active Partnerships. We provide a strategic lead on sport and physical activity so that all people and organisations may work together towards a more active county. Partners and networks we work with include:

  • governing bodies of sport
  • clubs
  • school sports networks
  • local authorities
  • health
  • adult social care
  • community safety
  • housing.

Together we aim to provide opportunities for more people to be more active more often, for enjoyment as well as wider health and social outcomes.
